12/21/2023 0 Comments Project zomboid traits reddit![]() Unlike Underweight, it lowers your Endurance recovery, and it's generally harder to lose weight while avoiding Hunger maluses than it is to overstuff yourself. Obese is just a worse version of Very Underweight unless you plan to fuck off into the woods and eat crickets for a living. Unfit, Weak, and their lessers can technically be worked off, but this is so tedious I would only recommend it as a challenge run. Hearty Appetite, High Thirst, and Prone to Illness eat up probably-abundant supplies for points. Slow Reader, Pacifist, and Slow Learner just eat up raw time in exchange for points. Overall this is probably a decent pick, especially since you can more than offset the chance increase with Outdoorsman reducing it by 90%. Catching a cold is fairly rare and avoidable to begin with, but it being worse when you do is a bit dangerous. Prone to Illness zombifies you slightly faster (irrelevant), makes getting colds 70% more likely and makes them more severe more quickly (probably - they 'progress 50% faster' which I can only assume doesn't mean they last half the time). you should also wash to avoid infection, so it's not quite free points, but easy enough to manage.Ĭlaustrophobic can be avoided by sleeping in large rooms. Hemophobic is trivial to manage with Smoker, as that reduces the Stress gained by being bloody. Smoker adds a slight logistical overhead of finding and smoking cigarettes, but also helps you manage unhappiness with them. Underweight and Very Underweight are easy to eat your way out of even on the lowest current loot settings. Weak Stomach gives you points for not doing something that would be very stupid to do. If you aren't taking Brave, it's nearly free points.Ĭonspicuous has such a negligible effect that it's free points, and Inconspicuous isn't useful enough to justify leaving them on the table. Some of this is stuff I've seen Retanaru test on YouTube that I'm hopefully remembering correctly.Ĭowardly is barely more panicky than a normal character. Smoking cigarettes will lower the stress level.EDIT: On the off chance somebody's reading this twice, a changelog:įorgot that Hemophobic affects stress, not panic. Smoker (+4): Stress will constantly slowly rise.Slow Healer (+6): All of the deadly injuries have more severity, including scratches, lacerations, lodged bullets, deep wounds, bites, and fractures, but does not apply to exercise fatigue.Weak Stomach (+3): 200% chance of food illness.+10% chance to trip by while running, sprint vaulting a low fence, or from lunging zombies. Starting weight is 70 and is only present between weights 65 and 75. These are the best Negative starter traits to choose in Project Zomboid: Wakeful ( -2) -30% less sleep required.Fast Learner (-6): 130% XP for all skills except Strength and Fitness.Lucky (-4): +10% chance of finding rare loot.Dextrous (-2): 50% to inventory transferring time. These are the best Positive starter traits to choose in Project Zomboid: This ensures that no player is building themselves to be the ultimate overpowered survivor, and even provides players with the opportunity to design their own challenges. Positive traits, however, tip the scales in Project Zomboid negatively and must be offset by the positive points earned through Negative traits. Unlike other survival horror game mechanics, such as Back 4 Blood card builds, Project Zomboid utilizes a balancing scale that requires players to either have a neutral or a positive point distribution. Ultimately, Project Zomboid runs cannot be started until players have a positive point count, which is actually the opposite of what Positive traits give. Project Zomboid's Positive and Negative trait mechanics add a unique take to the survival horror genre, forcing players to select perks that both benefit and hinder themselves in any given run. Project Zomboid is a post-apocalyptical survival game developed by The Indie Stone, and it contains RPG elements that allow players to start off by selecting the best Positive and Negative traits.
